Andrew Herrera is an MA candidate in the School of Writing, Literature, and Film. His thesis is focusing on the portrayal of violence, masculinity, and gender as a performance in three films by Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn, best known for his film Drive starring Ryan Gosling.
