Farao — Till It’s All Forgotten
November 16, 2015
Berlin-by-way-of-Oslo multi-instrumentalist Kari Jahnsen blends elements of baroque rock and painted synth onto a sonic landscape. Folk undertones tarry the manic progressions of guitar riffs, stretched and barrages of claps, giving way to dazed, lifelike informalities. In other words, Farao’s debut LP matches the artwork – a splattering of paint across a hidden, mysterious figure. Alluring and enigmatic, Farao’s debut is borderline brilliant.
